    Python uses text and visual coding which makes it fun. It is the go-to language parents use to introduce the concept of programming to kids. Python is a great starting point for kids to learn to code. Its simple interface makes the process simpler and helps boost the confidence of kids.

    Python timer is an easy game for Python coding. Python countdown timers are used for setting time limits for activities or games. They also serve as countdown alarms to scheduled events. Below are the steps required to create a countdown timer in Python.

    Kids need to understand the concept of while loops when creating a countdown timer in Python. The while loop in Python is used to repeat a block of codes as long as the condition is true. The while loop command will continue to run until the condition is false.          

    Create a Countdown Timer in Python (for kids)

    Before kids learn how to create a countdown in Python, they need to understand what a timer object in Python signifies.

    Timer objects are used to represent a function or group of actions set to run after a particular amount of time. The time could be 5, 10, or more seconds before the timer goes off. The programmer is responsible for scheduling the timer after a certain period. For instance, the object might run for 10 mins before the timer appears.

    To set up a countdown timer in Python, you first need to import the Python time module from the Python library. Here’s how to import time from the library:

    End the timer

    Once the timer runs out, print “Blue Oceans!” to signify the end of the countdown timer. Note that you can input whatever you want at the end of your timer.
