Toybox for Kids

Honest Review

What is Toybox?

Toybox was positioned as a kid-friendly 3D printer that would allow them to easily print any premade design and make their own design.

Toybox First Impression

We bought 7-color Toybox Deluxe Bundle at $329.29 including shipping.

Box received properly wrapped. On actuality, the machine was smaller than in the videos.

Setting Up The ToyBox

After viewing a few YouTube videos on Toybox, I decided to unbox it. The food spindle featured a power plug. All done. Easy. It's simple to set up.

Application and Software for ToyBox

I downloaded software using our iPhone app. The link to their PC web-app wasn't intuitive. Register to save your designs.

Premade Designs for ToyBox

Toybox features a wide library of prefabricated products kids may make, which is great for first-timers. First day, the kids produced a pinecone cup holder, Yoda, and more.

Feeding the Printer Food on The Toybox

This was the least intuitive part. You must warm up the printer before feeding food via the top slot. While it heats up, get the rolls ready to serve.

Printing Designs on ToyBox

After figuring out Toybox's browser, there had no connection troubles. It's preferred printing from the browser because the interface was simpler. Each design took 45 to 2 hours, therefore the machine teaches kids patience.

Overall, 9 year old and 10-year-olds were ready for this gadget. I'd recommend Toybox despite its modest designs (like the size of your hand or a coffee cup). It will educate kids design, prototyping, and self-confidence in making something themselves.
